The Provincials and delegates of the Asia, Australia and Oceania region of the Order met from 14-17 October in Malang, Indonesia.
From our Province of Australia and Timor-Leste were Fr Bruce Clark (Prior Provincial) and Fr Carlito Da Costa Araújo (Provincial Delegate for Timor-Leste).
The meeting was led by Fr Robert Puthussery, the General Councillor responsible for our region. Also present were Frs Kuriakose Chandanaparambil & Thankachan Njaliath (India), Mario Esposito & Joseph Hung (Vietnam), FX. Hariawan Adji & Fransiskus Berto Gagu (Indonesia) and Rico Ponce (Philippines).
On the agenda were the formation of young Carmelites, the mission to young people, justice, peace & the integrity of creation, as well as other matters of common concern and potential mutual cooperation between the provinces of the region.
