From 21 to 27 July there was a gathering of young Carmelites from Asia, Australia and Oceania in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Fr Roque Soares Da Cruz (Formator) together with Brs Estevão De Deus Gomes, João Cabal, Pedro Rodriguês Ximenes and Honorio Pereira Bobo Lobato from Timor-Leste attended.
Also attending were Fr Benny Phang Kong Wing (Vice Prior General & Chair of the Formation Commission), Fr Robert Puthussery (General Councillor for Asia, Australia & Oceania) and student Carmelites from Vietnam, the Philippines, India, Papua New Guinea and Indonesia.
The focus for the meeting was Social Media and Justice and Peace: Challenges for Carmelite Formation in Asia, Australia and Oceania.
