Fr Paul Sireh was formally welcomed back to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish on 1 February 2026.
The welcome took place during the evening mass when parishioners presented Paul with a lighted candle and prayed a prayer of blessing over him as he takes up his ministry as Associate Pastor, Paul had previously been parish priest at Coorparoo 2014-16. Paul is also Prior of the Carmelites at Coorparoo which includes Martinho da Costa (PP), Paul Chandler (Holy Spirit Seminary), and Anacleto Guterres da Costa (Associate Pastor).
The Carmelite were entrusted with the parish in 1937.
