Last weekend (16-17 December 2023) members of the Lay Carmelite Community in Adelaide gathered for a retreat led by Fr Bruce Clark, OCarm (Prior Provincial). The retreat was held at the Passionist parish in Glen Osmond (SA). The 13 members of the community were also joined by Brs Marcolino Gomes and Anacleto Guterres da Costa who accompanied Fr Bruce.
On the Sunday, Bernadette van Eyk made her first profession as a Lay Carmelite and Barbara Mereszka received the Scapular. After Mass former Carmelite, Gordon Carter, donated his ordination chalice to the Carmelites in Timor-Leste.
