Our oceans are on the rise. In Polar Regions climate change explodes glaciers. In all parts of the earth, as temperatures soar, oceans get hotter and expand. Global sea levels have gone up and up over the last century especially in recent decades. In 2018 global mean sea level was 8.1 centimetres above the 1993 average – the highest annual average on record. This has profound effects all over the world as 8 out of 10 of the world’s largest cities are near a coast. What can be done to fight land loss?
