After 6 years of living and studying in Rome, Fr Carltio Da Silva successfully defended his thesis for his doctoral degree on 13 September. Basing his thesis on the work of Fr Bruno Secondin, OCarm (1940-2019), one of the most important Carmelite spiritual theologians, Fr Carlito wrote about the role of Mary as the model for accepting and putting into practice the Word of God in Christian life.
Fr Carlito studied at the Pontifical Faculty of Theology known as the Marianum.
Following some minor editing of his thesis prior to publication, Fr Carlito will return to Timor-Leste to teach in the areas of spirituality and Mariology.
