In the presence of a large crowd of Carmelites, parishioners, family and friends, Br Anacleto made his Solemn Profession of Vows (life-long commitment) as a Carmelite on 16 July.The Mass of Solemn Profession took place at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Middle Park (VIC).
Among the Carmelites present were Frs Robert Puthussery and Richard Byrne, two members of our General Council in Rome, who are in Australia for a Canonical Visitation of the Province. Fr Bruce Clark (Prior Provincial) received Anacleto’s profession. Among the 3 Deacons at the Mass was Anacleto’s brother, Narcizio, also a Carmelite, who travelled from Timor-Leste to be present.
