Br Anacleto Guterres Da Costa graduated from the University of Divinity a Master of Theological Studies on 21 March. In all, 281 students of the University graduated during the ceremony presided over by Dr Graeme Blackman, Chancellor, at St Patrick’s Cathedral, Melbourne (VIC). Archbishop Peter Comensoli, Archbishop of Melbourne, was present in the Sanctuary and led the prayers and gave the blessing.

Anacleto has previously been awarded a Bachelor of Theology from the same University. He was ordained deacon in 2024 and is currently ministering in the parishes of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Coorparoo, and Regina Caeli, Coorparoo Heights (QLD). He will be ordained priest on 3 May at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Middle Park (VIC).

Among the Carmelites present at the Graduation were Anacleto’s brother, Fr Narcizio Da Costa Vilanova, Fr Bruce Clark (Prior Provincial), Br Daryl Moresco, Fr David Hofman and Br Francisco Vierira Martins.
